Edenhall Country House Hotel, near Penrith has been put on the market for £1,295,000 as owners Paula and Wayne Williams plan to retire.
The popular hotel attracts guests from far and wide and is a local venue-of-choice for weddings, functions and events. Comprising of 25 ensuite guest bedrooms as well as a bar, restaurant, function room and conservatory. In addition to a two-bedroom owners’ apartment, there is also a three-bedroom duplex apartment which sleeps up to seven people and can be let as self-contained, self-catering accommodation to generate additional income.
Paula and Wayne Williams, have owned and operated the hotel since 2008.
Paula said: “When we bought Edenhall, we were new to the hotel business and wanted a successful, thriving business at the heart of the village community. We worked hard to create a business where everyone feels welcome, guests return regularly, locals support us, and in turn we have a great reputation and a thriving business.
“Having made this our home for the last seventeen years, the time has come for us to retire and step away from the business, but we will be sad to leave. We have been privileged to have met wonderful guests over the years, and we do hope that the new owners will enjoy their time here as much as we have.”
The hotel is being marketed by Christie & Co with an asking price of £1,295,000 for the freehold property. Agent Graham Wilkinson said: “I was so impressed when I met Paula and Wayne.
