Vandals have again targeting Penrith Beacon with racist graffiti sprayed onto parts of the grade one listed structure.
The beacon has had graffiti spayed across it on four separate occasions over the last few years.
Last year after vandals attacked the Beacon with more graffiti the Lonsdale Estates team worked to remove the graffiti assisted by Will Lowther 9th Earl of Lonsdale who personally worked on the removal of the graffiti sprayed on the monument that was built in 1719 and has stood above the town through invasions wars and many changes locally and was last used to celebrate the queens platinum jubilee when it was illuminate as part of the UK beacon lighting events.
Concerned members of the public raised the latest act of vandalism over the weekend after the racist graffiti appeared on the monument sprayed on the door of tower.
Cumbria Police are now appealing for information into the latest act of vandalism to the Beacon.

Lonsdale Estates have been looking at more measures to protect the Beacon from further vandalism and graffiti attacks.
It comes just weeks after Lowther Estate was forced to seal an unauthorised entrance and path up onto Beacon Hill due to repeated vandalism and damage caused to the site.
