M6 Junction 39 to 40 Northbound Overnight Closure

National Highways have an overnight closure of the M6 between Junction 39 and 40 from Monday 29/01/2024 at 22:00 until Tuesday 30/01/2024 at 04:00.

The M6 Northbound closure is to enable emergency repairs to be carried out on the carriageway.

The diversion route via the A6 between J39 at Shap and J40 at Penrith will be in operation with traffic diverted from the M6 at J39 along the the A6 and A66 from Kemplay Roundabout back onto the M6 at J40.
