“It’s Bedlam” Friday Congestion on A66 and M6

Congestion around Penrith again with traffic described as “Bedlam” by some trying to navigate the roads around Penrith this morning.

Traffic around Kemplay roundabout and the A66 both east and westbound is facing delays of 10-15 minutes due to the queuing traffic with heavily delays as traffic on the M6 southbound between junction 41 and 40 turning to exit onto the A66 is queuing along the M6 with delays of 20-30 minutes.

Advice is to allow extra time for your journey or find alternate route if possible as the Friday afternoon traffic builds.
