The M6 will be closed over four nights from Tuesday 14th July to enable National Highways to remove temporary speed cameras between junctions 39 and 40.
The 50mph limit introduced in June means National Highways no longer need the speed cameras along the section of M6 put in place when the motorway near Clifton had a 40mph limit as part of the Clifton railway bridge replacement works.
The closures will see full closures on the 14 and 15 July of the M6 northbound between junctions 39 to 40 overnight between 10pm–6am.
On the 16 and 17 July the M6 southbound between junctions 40 to 39 will be Closed overnight between 10pm–6am.
A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A6.
National Highways said it will maintain access for emergency vehicles through the closure where possible and thanked drivers for their continued patience and cooperation.
