Local primary and secondary school students are rehearsing a collection of Christmas carols once again ready for the 2025 Penrith Schools Carol Concert at St Andrew’s Church, on Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th December at 7pm.
This year will see twelve schools taking part ranging from local primary schools along with students from Ulllswater Community College and Queen Elizabeth Grammar school over the two evenings.
Monday 8th December choir will be from: Hunter Hall, Kirkby Thore, Lowther, Penruddock, St Catherine’s, QEGS & UCC
Tuesday 9th December choir will be from: Beaconside, North Lakes, Yanwath, QEGS & UCC
The event has once again been organised by Lynsey Wrightson and Martyn Soulsby
All the proceeds from ticket sales go back into the participating schools, allowing them to help fund music in schools and inspire the next generation of budding musicians.
