With the season of gunpowder plots and treason upon us celebrating the famous failed gunpowder plot of Guy Fawkes to blow up Parliament in 1605.
We have a roundup of local organised fireworks displays taking place locally.
There are no official bonfires or fireworks events planned in a Penrith but over the next three nights there are a number of events in communities around Penrith.
Tonight a Fireworks Display is taking place in Lazonby. Fireworks lit at 7pm. Refreshments including hot dogs, home made soup and cakes and sweets. Bar and hot drinks including mulled wine. Please leave all sparklers at home.

Saturday night A Bonfire Night is taking place in Bolton. Gates open 17:30, bonfire lit 18:00, fireworks 18:30, food 17:30-18:15, bar 17:30-19:00 with live music afterwards in the New Crown Inn. Note: No personal fireworks or sparklers.
