Cumbria LGBT youth charity extends outreach sessions to Penrith

A Carlisle based charity for young LGBT people is looking at the need for their dedicated services for the Penrith and Eden area.

Pride in North Cumbria (PiNC), are holding drop-in sessions for LGBT young people aged 13 to 24 to connect with others, share experiences, and find support.

The drop-in sessions will be held in Penrith at Eden Rural Foyer on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 1pm and 4pm during July and August.

The youth charity is also conducting an online survey across Cumbria it hopes the Big Cumbrian LGBTQI+ Survey will get people to share their experiences and have their voices heard.

The survey will help the youth charity identify challenges facing LGBT individuals in areas like healthcare, education, employment, and social services.

The PiNC survey is completely anonymous and can be completed online via https://goto.penrith.town/PRIDE-in-North-Cumbria-Survey
