Penrith Man Sentenced to Prison for Fraud Offences against Two Elderly Penrith Victims

A 33 year old man from Penrith has been sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court for fraud offences commited against two elderly Penrith victims in October 2023.

Lee Morgan, aged 33 of Victoria House, Penrith plead guilty to two counts of fraud,

Morgon took more than £1500 from two elderly women in Penrith in late 2023 for work which he then failed to complete.

The judge imposed a 32-week prison sentence on Morgan, saying: “Whilst I know this will have a significant impact on your family, I’m afraid it doesn’t outweigh the seriousness of the offences.”

Morgan will serve a 32-week prison sentence and pay full compensation to the two victims of his fraud.
