Penrith HSBC Bank to Close Temporarily on Thursday

The Penrith HSBC branch will close on Thursday 28th March temporarily to undergoes a 'refresh', the company has said.

Customers have been asked to use other branches during the refurbishment, with the nearest HSBC branch located in Carlisle.

HSBC has said that they continue to invest in their branch network to make their customers experience banking with HSBC a good one.

A spokes person for HSBC UK said "We are pleased that our Penrith branch is getting a refresh, with some painting, new signage and the installation of new state-of-the-art cash machines, which we are excited about.”

HSBC have been talking to customers about the temporary closure for the last month, while work is carried out customers can continue to use the nearest Post Office for day to day transactions, as well as the HSBC mobile and online banking service available 24/7.

The temporary closure of the HSBC branch comes as Penrith is in the grip of a number of permanent bank closures with Lloyds Bank on King Street and Halifax on Middlegate closing their doors for the final time on last week and Barclays set to permanently close on the 17th of April.

The Penrith HSBC branch will close on March 28th and reopen on April 18th.
