New pictures issued after sightings made in search for missing man

Police are issuing a new picture and further details about recent sightings as the search continues for missing man Christopher Pickwell.

Christopher, 45, is missing from Hull and there are concerns for his welfare.

He was believed to be in the area of Aira Force, near Ullswater, at about 8am today ( May 17 ).

Cumbria Police have said “New information now suggests he was seen in Pooley Bridge at about 1.50pm”.

He was possibly last seen heading towards Askham. Enquiries suggest he may also be in the Penrith area.

Police are also issuing a fresh picture taken today in the hope it might prompt people who may have seen him to get in touch.

Officers are asking anyone who may have seen him – either in this area or elsewhere – to contact them on 999.
