The Penrith Lions have said they “wish to thank all in the Penrith who contributed so generously to our seasonal fund raising, all of which will be used for our good causes throughout 2024. Our thanks also go to the volunteers, especially the retired postmen whose sorting and delivery expertise was invaluable and the students from Kendal and Ullswater Colleges for delivering the Christmas Post greeting cards. Finally those who helped Santa to get around the town in his sleigh visiting as many children as possible.”
