A large Pothole has Appeared in Road due to form Main Diversion Route for Eight Weeks as Town Centre Closed to Traffic.
Drivers are warning other road users along a section of the C3029 Beacon Edge, Penrith that a large pothole has appeared in the road surface.
A rut has formed with two large potholes appearing along the length that spans approximately 3 meters along the road between the Two entrance gates to Penrith cemetery.
The road is due to become the diversion route when Penrith Town centre is closed for 8 weeks of gas mains replacement from this Wednesday morning.
The rut and potholes appears to be getting worse as traffic has used the road today and has been reported to Westmorland and Furness Highways by multiple members of the public today we understand.
