Four Overnight Closures of M6 for Speed Camera Removal Starts Tonight

The M6 will be closed over four nights from 10pm tonight (Tuesday 14th July) to enable National Highways to remove temporary speed cameras between junctions 39 and 40.

On the 16 and 17 July the M6 southbound between junctions 40 to 39 will be Closed overnight between 10pm–6am.

A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A6.

National Highways said it will maintain access for emergency vehicles through the closure where possible and thanked drivers for their  continued patience and cooperation.

The diversion route on 14-15th is via Junction 39 along the A6 to Kemplay roundabout jointing the A66 to junction 40 to rejoin the M6, 16th-17th is via junction 40 along the A66 to Kemplay roundabout to join the A6 to junction 39.
