Full Fibre broadband providers Fibrus is entering the television market with the launch of Fibrus TV that will offer over 100 live channels, streaming apps and cloud-based gaming to broadband customers
The launch of the new Fibrus TV service next week will see Fibrus offer a new television and entertainment service alongside the company's full fibre broadband the company has build across Cumbria and Northern Ireland, that will bring live TV, streaming services and gaming together through a single platform to its customers, which now exceeds 155,000 homes and businesses.
Powered by Netgem's PLEIO entertainment platform, Fibrus TV will be available exclusively to Fibrus broadband customers.
Fibrus TV will be delivered through customers’ broadband connections using the Netgem's PLEIO plugged into the customers existing TV, allowing customers to access free-to-air TV via Freely, without the need for a satellite dish or aerial. The package includes more than 100 live television channels, including BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and 5, plus over 150 additional streamed channels, streaming and entertainment apps from the Google Play Store, and a library of over 300+ cloud-based games.

Fibrus TV will be available as an add on service for new and existing Fibrus broadband customers. Customers will access it through a compact streaming puck that connects directly to their television using their home broadband connection.
