Electricity North West has just issued an update on its network saying the network has experienced widescale damage.
As a result of Storm Isha's continued intensity they have had to stand crews down due to unsafe climbing conditions.
As a result all previous power supply restoration times have been pushed back to Tuesday at 17:00 as a precaution.
As of 23:30 on Sunday evening over 8000 properties are without power across the companies network including properties in Penrith and villages around the town.
