Councillors meeting in Kendal this morning at the Westmorland and Furness Council Strategic planning committee have voted to refuse the planning application by Storey Homes to develop 194 houses on Inglewood Road in Penrith.
Due to the lack of affordable housing included in the application and the lack of development of community in the site and is contrary to Dev 4 of the Eden local plan.
With 6 councillors voting to refuse the application and 2 voting against the motion to refuse.
