Continued appeal for witnesses and information after serious collision on the A6

Cumbria Police is continuing to appeal for witnesses as part of an investigation into a serious injury road traffic collision on the A6 near Milestone House, north of Penrith on Friday 1st May 2026.

The collision which involved a white Audi and a pedestrian occurred at around 10pm on Friday night.

Emergency services attended including an air ambulance with the pedestrian, a 17-year-old transported to hospital.

He still remains in hospital in a serious condition.

The driver of the Audi stopped at the scene of the collision and engaged with police.

Police would like to hear from those driving between Penrith and Stoneybeck roundabout between 21:30 and 22:00 on 1 May 2026 that may have seen the pedestrian or have any dashcam footage.
