Back to the Closures As Town Centre Roads Closed for Gas Works.

The top of Middlegate and Devonshire Street is now closed to all traffic due to the Northern Gas Networks gas mains replacement work.

This closure is expected to remain in place until the 5th of February 2024.

Traffic can drive along Middlegate until the Sandgate junction.

Already this morning traffic has been seen travelling the wrong way down Middlegate and Queen Street having turned left out of Sandgate after ignoring road closed signs.
