Another Penrith Business Closes Due to Difficult Times for the High Street

Independent Penrith business Elliott's Plants, on Angel Lane, closed its doors today (Saturday) for the last time following a closing down sale over the last week with large discount on plants that began on Tuesday.

Owner Elliott Dumbarton, said: "I'm sad to announce that Elliott's Plants will be closing down.”

It's been fantastic these last few years and I have loved meeting everyone who's come to buy or talk about plants, but the last year has been extremely difficult for the high street and independent shops.”

Elliott Dumbarton, has been running his Penrith houseplant business, in Angel Lane, since December 2021, following a family move from Langholm, Scotland.

The shop specialised in houseplant features, stocking everything from extravagantly-sized houseplants to quirky handmade wall-hanging moss boxes.
