127th Skelton Show delivers an A to Z of a show with something for everyone

The 127th Skelton show returned with a show that delivered a full A to Z with something for everyone this year. 

The shows packed day of events and attractions ranged from Alpacas, Entertainment, Food, Ice cream, Farm equipment, Horses, Cattle, Sheep, Dogs, Crafts, Prize winning veg, through to Zebra Burgers.


Todays show marks the first return of Skelton Show since 2019 following the pandemic, last years show had to be cancelled at the 11th hour due to flooding and weather conditions.


This year Chairman Colin Atkinson had everything crossed and a close eye on the weather this week. But the ground remained solid and dry despite a few rain showers the crowds flocked to the show with Penrith Lions providing car parking marshalling to get cars parked and Fell runner bus running a free shuttle service between Penrith and Skelton Show to bring the crowds to the show ground.


The fun of Skelton Show does not end today, the Young farmer have a ticket only dance this evening at the show ground and for the first time Skelton Show fun carries on into Sunday.


NEW for this year is the Skelton Show Sunday Funday. The Sunday fun starts from 1.00pm until 6pm, it promises to be an afternoon of family fun with live bands, street food, funfair and bouncy castle plus various games for the children.


Tickets are only £5.00 for adults, children under 16 free.
