The organisers of the Penrith Wannasee festival due to take place in 88 day have announced the event due to be held on the 21st, 22nd and 24th August will not go ahead.
The Wannasee South Festival 2025 was due to take place this Monday has also been confirmed as cancelled by the organisers.
In a statement issued on the Wannasee festival website the organisers said “We're heartbroken to confirm that Wannasee Festival will not be going ahead this year.”
“This decision has not been taken lightly. Despite enormous efforts behind the scenes, recent developments have made it impossible to continue. We are incredibly sorry to all of you who bought tickets, made plans, and supported the festival.”
The Penrith event was also cancelled at short notice in 2024 by organisers who blamed poor weather and ground conditions in 2024.
Tickets for the Penrith Wannasee festival have been on sale since November 2024 promising “superb entertainment with the very best live music there is, in a family-friendly festival atmosphere at sensible value for money prices”.
Companies House now show that the company Wannasee Ltd has changed its name on the 12 May to 08076670 LIMITED
Those who have purchased tickets for the Penrith or South festival are advised to contact your ticket provider or card issuer for refund information.
