Three arrested and Vehicles Seized in Police operation on the A6 in Clifton

Five police vehicles and an unmarked police vehicle surrounded and stopped a vehicle at approximately 8:15pm outside Clifton Primary School on Thursday evening partly blocking the A6.

As part of the police operation two stinger devices were deployed across the A6 North of Clifton by officers but the vehicle was stopped before reaching the deployed stinger devices.

A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs, possession of a controlled drug and two thefts.

A 38-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of driving without a license, being concerned in the supply of drugs and driving over the prescribed limit of drugs.

A female, aged 17, was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs. All remain in police custody for questioning.

The vehicle used by the three was also seized by police due to no insurance
