The Snow Men are Coming as part of Brougham Hall’s festive and frosty fundraiser

If you have ever fancied turning your hand to clay, or wanted to be part of an art installation…well now is your chance.

The Artists at Brougham Hall just outside Penrith are launching a festive, creative and frosty fundraiser and they want people of all ages to get involved!

From the end of November up until Christmas the artists are aiming, with your help, to not only raise funds but to create a field of Snowmen.

Kits will be available at Brougham Hall from Oct 23rd, just in turn for half term. In these you will find all you need to create your snowman, instructions, clay, paint brush and glaze…take it home, make your snowman masterpiece and bring it back to get fired in the kiln...it will then be placed in the installation, and the best bit is after the installation comes down you can collect your snowman take it home and treasure it forever.

The Kits are suitable for all ages but children will need to be supervised, so why not join in and unleash your inner ceramic artist. The aim is to have an Army of Snowmen (maybe it should be called a Flurry of Snowmen) The more the merrier, ho ho ho! So, why not get festive and help make 100’s if not 1000’s of Snowmen, Snowwomen, Snowpeople!

Kits will cost £19.50 each and all profits will go to Brougham Hall CIC an artist led not for profit organisation that oversees the maintenance and upkeep of the Hall.

The CIC was set up in Dec 2024 to save Brougham Hall to save this historic site for the local and wider community and for future generations, in January 2025 the CIC set a fundraising target of £80,000, they continue to work tirelessly to achieve this target.
