9:15 A66 - National Highways have said the A66 in Durham / Cumbria is closed to High Sided and vulnerable vehicles in both directions between the A1(M) Junction 53 and the M6 Junction 40 due to strong winds in the region.
For vehicles travelling across the Pennines are asking drivers to consider using the A69 or the M62.
Vulnerable vehicles include motorcycles, caravans and any vehicle liable to be affected by cross winds.
