Electricity North West are dealing with a power cut that is effecting around 559 customers in Penrith currently.
The power cut has been caused by an unexpected incident on the high voltage cable that provides electricity to home or business in the area.
Engineers hope to have power restored to all properties by midnight.
Some properties that have lost power may be switched to alternative supplies to restore power sooner.
