Police Issue Closure Notice on a House in Penrith over anti-social behaviour and serious noise issues

Cumbria Police have taken action to address issues of anti-social behaviour, serious noise nuisance and other issues associated with a property at at 9 Grey Bull Gardens in Penrith.

A full Closure Order was served on the address yesterday (Tuesday 2nd September) that will be in force for three months. The order prohibits anyone from entering the property, except:

- The landlord (Castle & Coasts Housing Association) and their appointed agents

- Any future lawful tenant of the property (excluding the named previous tenant) and their lawful visitors

- Cumbria Constabulary for the purposes of enforcing the closure order.

Anyone found breaching the order will be liable to arrest and upon conviction imprisonment and/or fine.

Inspector Mo Bibby said: “We are committed to taking action against individuals whose behaviour has a profoundly negative impact on those around them in the community.”
