Penrith Show Promises an Exciting Day for All

The highly anticipated Penrith Show is set to captivate attendees with a diverse array of activities and attractions, despite heavy rain on Friday afternoon. The show will go on with a promising lineup of entertainment and an extensive range of exhibits, visitors can expect a delightful day at Brougham Hall Farm on Saturday, July 15th, 2023.


The main ring, will host an array of captivating performances and exhibitions throughout the day.


The festivities kick off at 9 am when the showground opens its gates to the public. visitors can witness the artistry of dry stone walling in a competition presented by the Main Sponsor, The Dry Stone Walling Association.


Animal lovers will be enthralled by the cattle and sheep judging. Rabbit enthusiasts can also look forward to the judging of adorable rabbits later in the day.


Delightful surprises await in the HomeMade-Home Grown Marquee, where visitors can explore an assortment of culinary delights and unique crafts. The Craft and Shopping Marquee, a treasure trove of exquisite handmade creations.


For those seeking entertainment beyond the main ring, the Family Entertainment Area is sure to be a hit. Kids and adults alike can enjoy a bouncy castle, face-painting, and action ants while the enchanting Zoobidoo will bring joy to all attendees.


The energetic sounds of the Milnthorpe Steel Band will resonate at intervals, creating an atmosphere of lively enjoyment. The Eden Valley Cheerleading Academy will entertain the crowd with their routines.


Despite the challenges posed by the weather, the Penrith Show has persevered, ensuring a memorable day for all attendees.


Visitors are encouraged to plan their arrival in advance, with free bus services available from Penrith Auction with a Park and Ride service or the Bus Station. Additionally, online payment options are available to reduce queues, although cash will still be accepted. 


The Penrith Show, a true celebration of agriculture and community spirit, promises an unforgettable experience for all who attend. Rain or shine, the show must go on, and tomorrow, Penrith will shine brighter than ever what ever the weather as Penrith Show once again opens its gates.


After Show Party with Sneaky Finch will take place from 5 pm to 9 pm, allowing attendees to continue the festivities and relish the enchanting atmosphere a little longer. As the day draws to a close, visitors are reminded to plan their transportation in advance and order their taxis promptly if planning enjoy the beer tent throughout the day.


Update: The Equestrian events at Penrith Show have this evening been cancelled due to the weather and ground conditions for the horses.
