The annual Remembrance Day civic parade will take place in Penrith this afternoon (Sunday 11th November) at 2pm
Invited dignitaries will form in Portland Place at 1.50pm before setting off at 2.00pm on the civic parade marching along Middlegate to St Andrews’ Church for Penrith town’s Service of Remembrance at 2.30pm.
Penrith Town Council has said “Seats will be reserved for the civic dignitaries invited to attend but members of the public are welcome to attend the civic service.”
The parade will be led by the town band along with veterans and serving members of the armed forces and representatives from other local organisations.
