Outdoor clothing retailer Regatta has announced plans to open a store in the former Dorothy Perkins unit located in Angle Square.
Regatta sell a range of outdoor clothing and already lists two local independent business as stockists in Penrith of Regatta range.
No firm plans for opening of the new Penrith store or jobs the store will create have been announced by the retailer at this time.
The former Dorothy Perkins store closed its doors in Angle Square in 2021 after the chain fell into administration and the new owners of the brand moved to online only retail.
Plans for the retail unit of the former Dorothy Perkins store were submitted to Eden Council and approved in October 2022 for the sub-division of the retail unit into two separate units along with the creation of a roof terrace area and shop front alterations.
