Occupants of Penrith House Issued Closure Warning by Police for Anti-Social Behaviour

Officers from Eden Neighbourhood Team recently issued a Closure Warning Letter to the occupants of a property on Rimington Way in Penrith.

The closure warning letter was issued followed complaints of serious anti-social behaviour, disorder and drugs use at the property, which was causing distress to the local community.

Sergeant Phil Hall, Eden NPT, said "On receipt of this warning, the occupants decided to vacate the property prior to Closure Powers being enacted, restoring much needed peace and tranquillity to the community. Closure Powers are just one of many civil powers we utilise on our team to solve problems. We work closely with our legal team and partner agencies in pursuing all powers available to us to safeguard our communities."

Sgt Hall continued: "If you are intent on carrying out antisocial behaviour or disorder in our communities, you can expect a knock on the door from one of our officers.”

If you are experiencing ASB, disorder or drugs misuse in the community, don't suffer in silence. Contact Cumbria Police online or by ringing 101. In an emergency always dial 999
