A multi vehicle crash blocked Newton Road in Castletown on Sunday afternoon. Police and Ambulance services attended the collision that occurred at approximately 1:15pm on Sunday near to the junction with Gilwilly Industrial Estate outside Newton House.
Newton Road is now fully reopened to traffic following the accident.
The road is the subject of a 20mph speed limit application by local residents with ongoing concerns about safety and overweight vehicles travelling along the road through the Castletown area or Penrith.
