Man dies following A66 collision

Cumbria Police are investigating a collision which happened on the A66 today (7 July).


The incident occurred this morning at around 6:10am on the A66 near the Brough junction.


The A66 was closed in both directions for a number of hours following the incident.


A 35-year-old man from Middlesbrough sadly died at the scene.


Cumbria Police have asked that anyone with information relating to this incident contact them.
