M6 South between J40 and J39 closed overnight

The M6 Southbound between J40 and J39 is now closed overnight (Wednesday 28th)to all traffic until 05:00 (Thursday 29th August)

All 3 lanes closed at 9pm with traffic diversion along the A6 between J40 at  Penrith J39 as Shap.

The closure is in place for carriage way resurfacing work by National Highways.
