M6 Delays following Vehicle Fire between J40 and J39

The M6 southbound between junctions J40 and J39 is facing delays due to two lanes closed following a HGV fire on the southbound carriageway on the M6 near to Junction 39.

Traffic is facing delays from junction 40 with some traffic using the A6 diversion route to avoid the delays.

National Highways have said the cleanup from the HGV fire is expected to clear between 20:15 and 20:30 with Normal traffic conditions expected between 21:00 and 21:15.
