Officers from the Eden Neighbourhood Policing Officers, out on patrol tonight in an un marked police vehicle stopped a HGV travelling South on the A6 through Clifton.
The driver of the stopped vehicle was arrested for driving a motor vehicle over the specified limit for drugs, after testing positive for cocaine on a preliminary drugs wipe.
A search carried out by police of the male and vehicle under S23 Misuse of Drugs Act resulted in a quantity of cocaine been located in the vehicle.
Eden NPT said they “will continue to target drink and drug drivers as well as drug related offences in the Eden area”.
