Join in the Global Event for Earth Hour tonight from 8:30PM

As the clock ticks down to 8:30pm around the world millions will today be switching of lights for Earth Hour as the largest global environmental movement returns for its 18th edition with the Biggest Hour for Earth as it unites millions around the world in celebration of our planet.

Earth Hour is a global movement that reminds us that even small actions can make a big difference if everyone acts together.

Earth Hour will see landmarks around the world switch off from 8:30pm including Buckingham Palace and the London Eye. It’s not known if Councils locally will be switching off the lights at council buildings for Earth Hour but individuals, communities, and businesses are encouraged to turn off non-essential electric lights, for one hour, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m as a symbol of commitment to the planet.

It was started as a lights-off event in Sydney, Australia, in 2007 and has grown into a global movement that millions world wide take collective action as the Earth Hour switch off.

Join in at 8:30 tonight for #EarthHour2024
