Fireball streaks through the night sky above Cumbria.

In the early hours of Saturday morning at 2:07am a Fireball has been seen exploding in the night sky above Cumbria.

Videos from across the UK have shown what appears to be a meteor flying over the UK in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Video of the fireball flying through the night sky over Caldbeck mast has been shared with us showing the fireball streaking to its fiery end travelling in an east west direction from Penrith towards Keswick.

The visitor from space will likely have exploded miles south of the UK based on the many reports of the phenomenon, from locations including Kent, London and Birmingham.

Did you spot the fireball early this morning?
