Emergency Services Recover Body Of A Man From Ullswater

Police have confirmed a man’s body has been recovered from Ullswater, Emergency services had been in attendance at Ullswater, in the Mossdale Bay area, following a report of a man having got into difficulty in the water this morning (Friday 21st March).

Police were made aware of the incident by North West Ambulance Service at around 9.27am.

A multi-agency operation took place on the water and at around 2.25pm this afternoon the body of a man aged in his early 20s was recovered.

Cumbria Police said “The man’s family have been informed of developments”.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious at this time but an investigation is on-going as to the circumstances leading up to the man’s death.
