A man who died following a collision in Temple Sowerby has been named as Thomas Scaife (known as Tom), aged 32, from the Eden area.
The collision involved a white pick-up on the B6412 in Temple Sowerby at around 12:23am on Sunday 23 February.
Sadly, Mr Scaife died at the scene from his injuries.
Emergency services were called at around 12:23am following a report of a collision between a White pick-up and a pedestrian on the B6412 in Temple Sowerby.
A man and a woman, both in their 50s previously arrested in connection with the incident have been released from custody under investigation, pending further enquiries.
Police are asking anyone with any information which could assist the investigation to contact police.
