Driver Banned for 3 Years and Sentenced to Unpaid Work After Drug Driving and Cannabis Possession

A man has appeared in court today (Tuesday 5th August), after being caught twice by police from the Eden Neighbourhood Policing team driving a vehicle over the limit and possession of cannabis

In court today Makinson was sentenced for two offences, driving a motor vehicle with drugs in his system and possession of cannabis.

The sentence issued by the judge for the two offences was 80 hours Unpaid Work, a Rehabilitation order, A community order Plus a £199 Fine and a 36 Month driving ban.

A spokesperson for the Eden Eden Neighbourhood Policing team said they “ will continue to target drink/drug drivers”.
