Do Not Travel Unless Absolutely Necessary Warning by Cumbria Police.

Storm Isha is hitting the whole of Cumbria with things expected to worsen over the next few hours resulting in Cumbria Police warning people not to travel unless absolutely necessary.

For anyone who must drive, Cumbria Police have said:

• Stay clear of coastal areas if possible.

• Do not drive through flood water if coming across flooding – take an alternative route.

• Do so with caution – pack your car with essentials, plan your route and listen to travel updates.

• Be aware your journey to work or school tomorrow may be impacted.
