Cumbria County Women’s Rugby Team Launch Funding Campaign After Winning Place in National Semi-Finals

The Women's Cumbria County Rugby team have made it through to the semi-finals after beating Oxfordshire 81-10 at the weekend, they will now play in the semi-finals on the last weekend in May. A journey that will see them travel South flying the flag for Cumbria.

The team are facing a long journey to play a team in the south of England. The cost of the trip is around £150 per player/coach bringing the total to £5000.

The team are now desperately trying to find sponsorship and donations to help with the cost of the trip. Without it, they might not be able to take part in the semi finals.

A spokesperson for the team said “We really appreciate any donation as every penny counts and helps us on our way to the finals!”
