Cumbria Charity Convoy passes through Penrith

Cumbria Charity Convoy has passed through Penrith at lunchtime with people gathered to watch as the convoy of Tractors and Lorries parade through the town with engines revving and a colourful array of horns filling the streets as the crowds enjoyed the parade.


The convoy was heading to the Cumbria Charity Convoy and Gathering taking place this weekend at High Grounds Farm, Clifton Dykes.


The convoy with the trucks tractors and cars taking part had travel around the local area starting at the Cumbria Charity Convoy show field at High Grounds Farm Clifton Dykes travelling through Cliburn - Culgaith - Langwathby - Lazonby - Plumpton - Penrith – Eamont Bridge and back to the Cumbria Charity Convoy show field at High Grounds Farm Clifton Dykes for the rest of the weekends fun and entertainment. 


The weekends fun and entertainment at the High Ground Farm has food and drink stalls, live singers, tractor pulling and more! 


The Cumbria Charity Convoy and gathering weekend is taking place on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th of September at High Grounds Farm, Clifton Dykes admission is Adults £10, Children £5, Family Tickets £20 (2 Adults, 2 Children) Under 6’s are Free.


All proceeds from the Cumbria Charity Convoy will be going towards the Great North Air Ambulance Service and the Cancer Care Unit at Cumberland Infirmary.

 

The Cumbria Charity Convoy is sponsored by A.W. Jenkinson Transport who’s transport team will be at the show with A.W. Jenkinson's very first truck, the Scania 112, as well as a couple of the businesses brand-new trucks and trailers.
