Police have stopped a vehicle on the A66 this afternoon just East of Penrith after a member of the public reported the vehicle driving all over the road and having substantial front-end damage.
officers stopped the vehicle prior to Penrith, owing to community led intelligence about the driver and occupants, a search was conducted under section 23 misuse of drugs act.
The male passenger was found to have had Ketamine hidden in his wallet.
A spokes person for the Eden Neighbourhood Policing team said “Eden officers work hard to ensure roads are kept safe and drug misuse is dealt with”.
