Candidates Start to Arrive as Counting Gets Underway

Counting of the votes is now underway for the Penrith and Solway Constituency in Workington as some of the Candidates arrive for what will be a long night for them all awaiting the results. 

Mark Jenkinson (Conservative), Julia Aglionby (Lib Dem) and Matthew Moody (Reform) all arrived shortly after the polls closed and the first ballot boxes arrived for the verification count.

Count agents have formed the huddle around tables as ballots begin to reveal the votes cast across the Penrith and Solway Constituency.
