Bluebird to pass by Penrith as it heads home to Coniston

Donald Campbell's restored Bluebird is today making its return to Cumbria, nearly 60 years after the crash that claimed the record-breaker's life. 

The journey back to Coniston got underway at 12noon today and will see the iconic Bluebird pass by Penrith on the M6 at approximately 2:00-2:30pm on its journey to Coniston.

The slow moving vehicle carrying Bluebird will pass southbound between Junction 41 and 40 offering the public an opportunity to witness this one in a lifetime opportunity.
