Despite the changing seasons and colder weather, air ambulance crews across the region continue to face a busy period responding to emergencies.
Between Monday and Friday, crews had been called to 22 incidents across the North East, Cumbria, Northumberland and the Isle of Man.
The busy week continued into the weekend with a call-out to an incident in Penrith on Saturday afternoon, when the air ambulance was called to assist ambulance crews at a residential property in Castletown.
The helicopter landed in a small enclosed area of grass between residential properties, allotments and Norfolk Road, with the pilot carefully manoeuvring the aircraft into the confined landing site.
The precision landing allowed the air ambulance medical team to reach the incident and support the ambulance crews already at the scene.
