Yellow Weather Warning for Ice Overnight

A yellow warning for ice has been issued by the Met Office for parts of Cumbria overnight.

The yellow warning for Ice comes into effect from 10pm tonight (Saturday 29th November) and remain in place until 9am tomorrow morning (Sunday 30th November).

The warning covers large parts of Cumbria and the North Pennines

The Met Office are forecasting rainfall in the earlier evening leave surfaces wet as temperatures drop below freezing leading to wide areas of Ice on untreated roads, pavements.

Heading into next week more yellow weather warnings has been issued for heavy rain that forecasters expected to cause further disruption Monday evening through into Tuesday.
