Temporary traffic lights on the roundabout at Morrisons are leading to long delays not traffic in Penrith with traffic facing delays of 15 – 20 minutes on Ullswater Road, Brunswick road and Norfolk Road.
The traffic lights are in place as traffic management on the roundabout to allow ESP Electricity to install a new supply connection for the new electric vehicle charge station under construction in the Morrisons car park.
Westmorland and Furness council granted a street works permit for the works that will remain in place until the 5th June.
